MOTAT - Energy projection wall for Te Puawānanga Science and Technology Centre
MOTAT Museum of Transport and Technology Auckland
Info
In collaboration with MOTAT, we developed an elegant 20 min animated looping projection wall representing renewable energy resources in Aotearoa, as a part of their new Te Puawānanga Science and Technology Centre. A large-scale atmospheric wall projection takes visitors through depictions of solar, wind, hydro and geothermal energy - and the atua that govern each energy.

Projection Stills
Mātauranga Māori (via MOTAT guidance) was an integral part of the process. Key pattern illustrations were created by Huriana Kopeke-Te Aho. As the projection moves through each natural resource element characteristics of particular Atua (ancestors with continuing relevance) reveal themselves through associated patterns and animation.
