Simultaneum - Interactive experience

Originally presented at Dark Light Experience. Visitors step forward to the black mirror to see their past and present selves together from a constantly changing view. A play of perspectives, dissections, and drifting point cloud particles—an echo of ourselves caught in digital abstraction. Simultaneum is an interactive installation that uses a 3D depth camera and a television display to create a live, time-sliced point cloud of the user. As participants move in front of the screen, their body is rendered in shifting layers—each motion generating a cascade of temporal slices that follow behind them, frame by frame. The result is a striking visual echo, where the viewer sees both their present and past selves coexisting in a fluid sequence of motion. Mounted beside the screen, the depth camera captures subtle shifts in posture and position, turning even the smallest gesture into a dynamic, ghost-like trail through time and space.
